Dear {#First Name#}:

This is a very important notice regarding your academic standing at Hunter College.

According to records provided by the Office of the Registrar, your Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) as of the end of Fall 2017, is below the minimum retention standards set by the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the City University of New York and Hunter College. Please review The Grading System – Retention, Probation and Dismissal undergraduate sections of the current college catalog found here.

Academic Probation for the Spring 2018 semester:
You have been placed on Academic Probation for the Spring 2018 semester. A notation has been made on your CUNYFirst record. Please be aware that your record will be reviewed at the end of Spring 2018, therefore, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of the variety of available services and programs designed to help improve your academic standing. You will be subject to dismissal from the College if you have not reached the minimum retention standards at the end of the Spring 2018 semester.

  • Financial aid: There may be an impact on your eligibility to receive aid. Visit the Financial Aid website here for specific information or the Office of Financial Aid, Room 241 North Building.
